This is another review by me Mr. Coffee. I am a coffee fanatic, I cannot get enough of the stuff. So, with that said, I will begin the review. Let me start by going over a few of the key features that I think make the Bunn NHBX-B so worth everyone's attention.

The Bunn is fast, very fast. Most coffee makers deliver coffee in a average time of 7 to 8 minutes, but the Bunn is truly exceptional because it can deliver you a cup of coffee in just 3 minutes, apparently faster times of 2 minutes and 30 seconds have been recorded.

This is countered by some negative reviews with the fact that the Bunn NHBX-B uses a LOT of energy in producing such a fast cup of coffee. The machine has 2 tanks, one which is kept heated at all times the other tank is the one you fill up. It is possible to turn the tank off, but if you do this you will lose any speed advantage, because the machine will then take a full 12 minutes to heat up and brew coffee again.

Countering that though, is the fact the Bunn coffee makers, unlike some other coffee maker manufacturers are made in the US and so you are creating less of a carbon footprint by buying this product. It is doesn't totally counteract the energy money absorbed but a nice feature none the less.

The Bunn uses a flat bottom filter, which although reportedly does not create high quality coffee in comparison to cone filters, considering the Bunn NHBX-B is the best Flat bottom filter coffee maker on the market, this difference is negligible.
